Two snuff boxes from Luchazi, each with geometric patterns.
Both boxes are cylindrical, and made of wood with a leather handle on top. The left box is decorated with a series of equally spaced vertical grooves running across the length of the box, and between them a diagonal hatching pattern of grooves.
The box on the right is divided into four cylindrical sections. Three of the sections are decorated with repeated diagonal lines, some larger ones going in one direction spaced between smaller ones in the opposite direction. The layers flip direction as you go up. The third layer however is comprised of a series of concentric rhombuses, following the same diagonals as the other layers. [FG 7/08/2025]
