Description

On typed listing "45.9; hut at Msazga village ; 15.7.61; Zambia; Eastern; Lundazi district; hut painting; wall decoration; village scene; thatching; Msazga village; present"

A house in Msazga village, it is circular, its walls made with mud and clay, and with a thatched roof and door. Surrounding the house is a tall wooden fence where clothes are hung to dry.
The decoration on the wall involves a black base with red walls, and a grid of white lines on top of both. Some of the horizontal lines match up with ridges on the wall's surface, maybe meaning there is an internal structure of logs, or perhaps that is where new layers were added on after drying.
