Description
On typed listing "44.13; "Corn grinding holes, Chala hill; 21.6.61 Zambia; rock; grinding holes; corn pounding; hollows; grooves; Chala hill; present"
Five round and slightly oblong corn grinding hills, they measure around 15cm on the long axis and 12cm on the short axis and are roughly bowl shaped, having their deepest point roughly in the middle, slightly biased to one side. Some of them have subtle cyclical markings, implying they could have been carved out over time by rotating a grinding tool. [FG 03/07/2025]
