Description
A clay sculpture of a mother and child in a side gallery of an Mbari house. The figure is seated. She has uli marks on her neck, arms and body. She has an extended navel. The figures show some damage, so that the bamboo framework can be seen in some of the joints, such as the child's knee. In the background is a sculpture of a woman carrying a pot of water on her head, and painted buttresses. [PB 14/03/2024]
