Description

A cotton trader's store on a street corner. Large sacks of cotton stand on the pavement outside. Two young men are sitting on mats and three men stand in the doorway looking at the camera. The store is in front of a three storey tenement building with a cement framework and brick infill, with white painted facing on the outside corner. The rooms have balconies decorated with chevron symbols. In the background are people walking by on the side street, other buildings and an open area with piles of sacks. [PB 23/11/23]
