Description
A documentation photograph of an image of an Ekpo face mask. The image is labelled by G.I. Jones as 'Obot Akara' . The mask is unpainted. It is oval in shape with a delineated cap-like head, high forehead with incised line, two scalloped markings and central linear marking in the centre of the forehead, almond shaped eyes defined with upper and lower lids, protruding cheeks, small nose, open mouth with etched teeth (painted white) and large flappy ears.
