Description
Onu Kamma (Mouth stronger than sword) masquerade showing a close up view of three masqueraders wearing large conical shaped faceless masks made of layers of fibre and with a cloth panel in the front. The masqueraders are wearing tie-dyed/batik? tops and striped woven cloth trousers adorned with fibre skirts around the waist (cowrie shells are seen on the masquerader in the far right.) One of the masqueraders (left) is holding a metal gong and hitting it with a stick, the middle figure is also holding a gong. Behind the masqueraders is a large audience of bystanders in the background.[Description from record P.71567.GIJ, PB 14/09/2023]
