Description

A Nwammuo placed on top of a chair, flanked by two partially viewed males. The Nwammuo is in the centre of the photograph and is a wooden carved object which is “trophy” and used in a dance or play. The Nwammuo consists of groups of carved, small human figures arranged in two two tiers and with three figures on top. The man on the left of the image is wearing a patterned cotton robe, the man on the right a white shirt and shorts. In the background is a thatched building. [PB 08/09/2023]
