Description

A Nwammuo, flanked by an Amara or paddle standing in from of a mud wall and doorway. The Nwammuo is a wooden carved object which is “trophy” and used in a dance or play. The Nwammuo consists of groups of carved, small human figures arranged in two two tiers and with a bird on top. The Amar (paddle) is carved of wood, and consists of a paddle with a decorated handle. The paddle has one figure carved into the handle. [PB 08/09/2023]
