Description
Obugulu Mau masqueraders sitting down. One of the masqueraders is wearing an elaborate headdress consisting of colourful felt, string and tassels. The mask is painted white with black markings around the eyes, nose, mouth and accentuating the eyebrows and cheeks and attached to a harlequin-like costume. The other masquerader is also wearing a white face mask, headdress and harlequin like costume. In the background are spectators and trees.[Description from record N.71510.GIJ, PB 25/08/2023]
