Description
A side view of an Ekpe (Ibo) wooden head from the Umuahia area. The headpiece is very naturalistic in style. It has a long oval face with brow, nose, open mouth, etched ears, hollowed cheekbones, and an elongated neck. There is a hole above the lips. The back of the head is cracked.
