Description

A close up image of an Obugulu Mau helmet mask displayed on a stand. The face of the mask is painted white with darker paint/pigments to accentuate the eyebrows, eyes, mouth, hair and crested structure. The eyes are small slits and the mouth is closed. There is a cross design on the cheek and a diamond shape on the forehead. The top of the mask depicts an elaborate crested coiffure painted black. Ogbugulu Mau Mask Series. [PB 24/08/2023]
