Description

A side view of an Ekpe (Ibo) wooden Janus head from the Umuahia area. The headpiece is very naturalistic in style and consists of two heads on a rounded base. The faces retain a delicate profile and each has three square geometric marks next to the ears and placed on top of the two heads is a coiled base supporting a rectangular piece of wood with a carved figure and an object on top.
