Description
A documentation photograph of a mask from an Ogbukere play. The mask is wooden and represents a crocodile and fish like form. The head of the mask consists of a long snout or jaws with pointed teeth, an eye, dorsal fin and a fish tail. The mask is etched with square designs on the body of the fish to represent “scales”. At the bottom of the mask is a rounded area for attaching the headdress to the head of the actor. [Description from record N.61429.GIJ, PB 27/07/2023]
