Description

A textile wrapper, using black and white threads. The weaving is weft-faced plain weave. The design consist of broad stripes length-wise of a repeated bar, comprising a flattened V in white on a black background on top of a white rectangular bar with a narrow black line across its top third and a broad black line within the lower two thirds. The vertical stripes are staggered so that some of the stripes are parallel and others offset, creating a dynamic rhythm to the design. [PB 20/07/23]
