Description

An Ibo textile wrapper. The weaving is warp-faced plain weave. The design is striped, consisting of bands of dark reddish brown, with two black and one white lines spaced at regular intervals. There is a broad black band in the centre of the wrapper. (?the wrapper may be made of two narrow strips sewn together). The wrapper has a fringe of warp threads. [PB 20/07/23]
