Description

A textile wrapper, made of two pieces of strip weaving sewn together length-wise. The weaving is mainly weft-faced plain weave. The warp threads are indigo and white with at regularly spaced intervals a warp band of red and white. The weft threads are indigo and white, with reverse weaving creating a chequered design. The cloth has a fringe of indigo and white tassels. [PB 20/07/23]
