Description

Detail of painted cart in Acireale. There are two carved relief panels showing scenes from the opera 'Cavalleria Rusticana', one shows a dagger fight between two men, and the other shows a painted cart, a man and a woman. The panels are framed by geometric or floral motifs and mermaids, sea horses, cherubs and other folkloric figures. [IJ 28/02/2023]
