Description
Documentary photography of an askos of a Nubian man's head with naturalistic facial features, braided hair and is varnished black. The ceramic askos (a recipient for liquids with a handle and spouts for pouring) has a spout in the upper part of the head and the remains of an upright handle on the back.
The vessel, dated to the Greek period, has been photographed on a marble surface in the Palermo Museum. [JD 28/02/2023]
