Description

Full-length view of a painted boat beached at Catania. The gunwale is decorated with geometric motifs all along, as is the extended stem. The bow is painted with the number '551', and with the figure of the Madonna. The keel is painted black. There is a mast resting on top of the boat.
The boat is one of three boats on the beach. In the background there are factory buildings, an Alitalia billboard, and in the distance, mountains. [IJ 10/01/2023]
