On Catalogue Card: "S.P. 245. New Guinea / Madang. Potters of Bil Bil. / Aerial Sepik Maprik." [Poignant's manuscript]
"23, 24. House tamboran [sic 'haus tambaran'] at Yenigo, Maprik. Shows high pitch of roof in front, overhanging porch, tunnel entrance to house, carvings of birds and snakes and cane measures for yams. 24 and 25. Is house no. 2 at Yenigo. The name of this house was Korambu and the name of the spirit associated with it was Dugumbu. Took eight months to build and two months to decorate facade. The ceremonial square in front of house is called 'amei', the stone in centre is called 'matu'." [Poignant's typed text]
