5. Boto Walai food container. This was formerly one method of rpesenting [sic. 'representing'] cooked flesh to chiefs in Fiji. Used for rare ceremonial occasions now when sweet Fijian puddings or Vahalolo are carried in it. Made by Josua of Gua Island for the museum." [Poignant's manuscript]
