Other Information

Group: The Kababish (Arabic: ‫كبابيش‬‎) are a nomadic tribe of the northern Kordofan region of Sudan.[1] The Kababish comprise about 19 different groups, which are all led by a single nazir or chief. Their main occupation is as camel herders, which gives them a high standing in Arabic society as camels are highly prized and valued. Context: A Shibriya is a Bedouin side dagger. It is currently unclear whether the canopy is connected to 'shibriya' due to its shape or whether it is a ceremonial cover for the transporting of a dagger. [JD 18/09/2018]
