Timan Lomingamoi of Idoto. Note the beard and curved labret, both common among the Didinga. His clothing was provided by the Sudan Government as official recognition of his political position.
A half-length portrait of Timan Lomingamoi of Idoto, a Didinga Chief of Pataldo. The older man is wearing an Islamic style thobe (cap) and taqiyah (robe), annotated by Driberg as being issued by the in government. He is bearded and wears a labret.
In the background are two other men and an empty chair. [LS 25/7/23]
