Publication: Similar image [T.133274.MST] published in 'Self-Decoration in Mount Hagen', 1971, after p.164 and captioned: “Colour plate 20 The wives of men ‘helping’ a dance have combinations of feathers different from those of the donors’ wives, but the same brilliant face-paint”. [KH 21/11/2016]

Although they are not wearing the same combinations of feathers as the donors’ wives, their faces are as brilliantly coloured.
