Publication: Image published in 'Self-Decoration in Mount Hagen', 1971, after p.164 and captioned: “Colour plate 24 A woman’s decorations reflect the affluence and good connections of her husband, and it is probably her husband’s exchange tally that this dancer is wearing. The wine-red cordylines in her armband are of a kind that have the power to draw in wealth by their attractiveness”. [KH 22/11/2016]
