Description

On Strathern's listing: Kot’s garden showing new plot planted by Kokl in mounds. These can be seen towards the upper right, small patch in the sixth strip from the left, next to square ditches. Quite common in other parts of the Highlands, this mounding practice was unusual for this area. It is a completely different way of dealing with mulching and drainage.
