Description

On Strathern's listing: Kina shells lined up: man in foreground subsequently identified as Minembi Andakelkam (clan) Pakl (personal name), a recipient. While the main funeral recipients were Roklaka, there were other prestations going on at same time, to several Minembi clans, to Klamakae and others.
Minembi Ruprupkae Mel (in feathers, with nose piece) on the left; his wife’s sister is married into Kurupmbo, to the brother of the man, Kurupmbo Raema, opposite him (no head covering, hand to chin). (Mel and Raema appear to be looking at each other.)
