Road to Mope: Membo Pate and 3 brothers carrying 2 cooked pigs to the distribution.

Marilyn Strathern notes: Ok lived with the Kawelka Membo but his connection was through a woman. Either his mother, or conceivably his wife. Normally members of clan trace their ties through men (=agnats). He was what the literature calls a non-agnate. He was from Klamaka tribe originally.
