The wooden box in which this box of negatives was found was fromerly numbered 170. It has now been re-numbered C68/. The box of negatives has been now numbered C68/3/.
Two glass plate negatives were found with the duplicate Accession Number N.38664.MVR, the second negative has been reassigned the new Accession Number N.126020.MVR. [JD 15/1/2014]
Place: The Place field was previously recorded as being "Africa; Republic of Zimbabwe", but it is probable that the negative relates to MacIver’s excavations of Inyanga in 1906. The Place and Date field’s has been amended accordingly. [JD 27/8/2009]
Biographical Information: "British archaeologist David Randall-MacIver was a protege of William Flinders Petrie who spent much of his latter career excavating in Zimbabwe (then known as Rhodesia). He was with Petrie at Abydos in 1899-1901 and conducted excavations at Great Zimbabwe and Khami in 1905, and Inyanga in 1906."
