On Catalogue Card for duplicate image: "Fishing with Jalai net."

Back view of a man who stands at one end of a small dugout canoe, casting a net at shoulder level into the river. Another man sits in the same canoe at the other end, paddling. The canoe is filled with objects, probably equipment and personal belongings.
In the foreground to the right are two dugout canoes moored or travelling side-by-side. They have horizontal wooden planks as seats, and paddles and round containers inside. The prow end of the canoe on the right is carved in a fleur-de-lys pattern.
The river is flanked by thick jungle on both banks. Sunlight filters through the canopy at the top.
