Biographical Information: Owen Lattimore (1900-1989) leading American Expert on Mongolia and Central Asia. Lattimore traveled extensively in Central Asia and wrote numerous books about the people of the region. He was for many years Professor of Chinese Studies at Leeds. Source: Owen Lattimore bequeathed his original photographic collection to the Peabody Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology, Harvard University, Massachusetts, along with Intellectual Property Rights. As part of the bequest, a set of digital copies, “together with a non-exclusive license to use them for educational and scholarly purposes” was provided to the Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology.
