She wears: a particular kind of skirt; the long nagar fringe which hangs form the neck back and front and reaches as far as the knees. it is tucked under the belt; fringes on the arms and legs; suspended in front from necklaces various objects worn by her husband, sticks bound with sago leaf which were the measure of his arms and leg bones, fingers, and nose, dried palms of his hands, and on the back arm and leg-bands of the deceased and the dried soles of his feet, all these pendents are kept in place by crossed shoulder-belts.
