Four people sitting cross-legged on the beach. To the far left is a man sitting near a bag and nesur (coconut water carriers). Next to him is a second man who is bare-chested and has a bag over his shoulder and a bu (cone) shell and two nesur on either side of him. Beside him is a young woman holding some wangai (wild plum), and with a stone spinning top in front. On the far right is a woman smoking from a bamboo tobacco pipe, wearing a missionary dress and with some food laid out in front of her. In the background a bamboo fence and a stand of vegetation.
