Studio portrait of Kungkardi, a Kurtjar Gilbert River man, annotated as a 'warrior of Gilbert River tribe', Queensland. The man is sitting with his back to the camera so that his tribal markings of scarification on his cheeks, shoulders and back are visible. Kungkardi was a performer in the 'Wild Australia' show.
