On Catalogue Card: "Warramunga.
Front view of head and chest of a Medicine man with a kupitja in his nose. A kupitja is 3 1/2 long, cylindrical, bound with fur string with a thick coating of grease and red ochre. The old Medicine Man who gave it him tells him it was made in the Alcheringa and is full of magic power.
