“Second mortuary day: Eating the ?snol ?pehuf.” [Fortes' Annotation on P.135502.MF]
A group of four men squatting around several bowls, preparing to eat. A dog stands in the middle of their rough circle. To the left, partially cropped by the frame, is an adobe yir (house) decorated with hanging gourds, bows, etc. A shrine is visible between the two men on the right. In the background, two compounds are visible. Part of funeral ceremony. [IG 11/8/2008]
