“Carrying the corpse.” [Fortes' Annotation]

Landscape image of men carrying what appears to be a long, tubular basket that probably holds the dead man. They are followed by a man wearing a nugo illa (helmet with horns). They walk past several attached yir (houses) with peaked thatched roofs. Part of funeral ceremony. [IG 8/8/2008]
