“Woman dancer.” [Fortes' Annotation]
A woman dancing in the centre of a circle of people, who include the dead man’s children and grandchildren. In the extreme right foreground is a man playing the drum, his back to the camera. They stand inside a compound, the adobe walls visible behind the dancer and a yir (house) to the left. A shrine is directly behind the dancer. Part of funeral ceremony. [IG 7/8/2008]
