Description
A boy wearing a short-sleeved shirt and shorts and carrying a busok (small woven rattan basket) walks along a path leading to the jungle and farming area, probably on the outskirts of Kampung Benuk.
On either side of the path are raised wooden buildings with sloping thatched attap roofs and split bamboo walls, probably farming huts. Banana trees line the path. Behind the trees on the left can be seen part of a slightly raised bamboo drying platform, with a pile of raw materials, possibly pepper or cocoa, resting on a white sheet atop it.
Further back, the path becomes gently sloping, bounded on both sides by low wooden or bamboo fences which partition off individual plots. In the background is a sharply-rising mountain slope covered in thick jungle.
