Description

On Catalogue Card of P.5538.ACH1: "Igorot man, front."

Portrait of an Igorot man with tattoos across his chest and upper arms, and wearing a woven rattan cap, loincloth, and gold neck ornaments. He holds a tobacco in his left hand. His ears show piercing and could have been torn probably due to wearing heavy ear ornaments. The thatch roof of a hut? in the background is probably part of the camp at the Alaska-Yukon Exposition.
