Dances at Gangtok [Williamson’s description]

Close-up view of the monk musicians. The first two on the L are wearing debating hats (rtsod-zhwa). The instruments resting on the table in front of them are long horns (dung-chen). The next three monks are wearing pan-zhwa hats (the head covering proper to a scholar). The next two are wearing hats used in gcod practices. The other instruments are pole drums (lag-rnga), oboes (rgya-gling) and cymbals (rol-mo) [Cech’s description].
