Description
Portrait, labelled “Rewa (Bau)” of an elderly Fijian chief with a white moustache and ivauvau hair wrapper but showing what is probably Musudroka, the Vunivalu of Rewa, and cut from a wider group portrait featuring him, Ratu Seru Cakobau and other high chiefs at the council of chiefs or bosevakaturaga that the governor, Sir Arthur Gordon, convened at Waikava, southern Vanualevu, in November 1876.
