Studio portrait of unidentified man [possibly ?Ratu Josefa Celua] wearing a malo loincloth beneath a cloth isulu secured by a waist sash, and wearing a beaded necklace, standing with his hand on the shoulder of a chiefly woman who has a small white cowry on a band about her throat, and wears an off-the-shoulder vinivoa bodice and a tartan rug or throw as an isulu skirt, secured by a barkcloth sash. Note the photographer’s clamps.
