Description

Full-length frontal studio portrait of two ‘East Indian Girls’, probably women under indenture in Guyana. Both women wear checked bandanas, saris over blouses and skirts, have bare feet, and are adorned with neck, nose, and wrist ornaments. The women on the left also wears large ornate ear ornaments, a neck ornament of metal? discs, and arm ornaments.
