Mamen’s description: “Golmito and Chüla on the gate”.

The man is wearing a Mongolian style of fur garment made turned the fur inside and has no cover outside. His boots are made of raw hide which are extremely enduring. The hat he is wearing is a type usually made with game fur such as fox, marten, otter, marmot or some domestic animal fur like dog or sheep. The flaps are turned up outward which can be put down and even can be tied under the chin in the cold weather. A pouch is hung from his belt with a string and the string holder is seen at the belt. He is holding a rifle and wearing a dagger with sheath in his belt. The woman is wearing a sleeveless jacket over the long garment. Interestingly, she tied her braid over the hat. From the man’s armed appearance he is very much a hunter, but their domestic environment is more like a settled herders, especially in another picture of the same house there are a lot of livestock like oxen, sheep and goats around.
