Related Archive: Oscar Mamen notes for the 1 March 1932 in his journal, ref Hoover Library, Lindgren Archive, Box 3 - Mamen 1932, the following entry:
"In the morning EJ and I, with Bielal Sokoloff, started out with two sleds, I driving one and B.S. the other, headed for Omul Ail to pay a visit to Huange Saman. We did not drive through the town but followed the Imen R. around. Somewhere on the river-hank, partly frozen in by over-flow water, was a Chinese coffin, the lid of which
had been broken open and the corpse was almost hanging over the edge, shoes and other things having been removed from the corpse; just beyond the town we met Huange Saman who came driving in a closed sled with a man on horseback leading the horse which pulled it. As Huange was on her way to the ["station on her way to" inserted text] Dagur village Mukhertu, via Charumte R.W. station, we handed her all her photos, and some more, there and then. She invited us to come and call on her when she returned home." [PK 27/02/15]
