“Although a shaman is now buried under the oboo, lamas now hold a Buddhist service before it. ... with a ritual of shamanistic type, offerings are made to the oboo of meat, abhorrent to the Buddhist doctrine.” Apart from bottles, cakes or cheeses and may be baling (dough) on the stone table of alter, there are a lot of meat put around on the stones, especially a huge pile of meat including ox heads.
