Description

Inuit group standing by, or sitting on, a komatik (long sled) harnessed to eight sled dogs in a snow-covered landscape. The one man, woman, boy, girl, and infant all wear traditonal caribou skin clothing with various embellishments of pale and dark fur bands and fringing. The sled is laden with boxes, skins, various tools, and cooking equipment. In the background is a out-jutting wooden platform, possibly a dock?.
