Description

Two Inuit men, one smoking a pipe, loading supplies, which include wooden crates, metal pots, and furs, onto a komatik (long sled) positioned in front of two other komatik. Further supplies, including an enamel bowl and snow shoes?, are still on the ice in front of the sled. In the background is a third man assisting a child with the hood of his parka, and a fifth figure is in the distance. All wear caribou fur parkas, two with the hair exterior, the other two with the hair interior, fur mittens, trousers, and boots. Two of the man wear round caps with embroidered? geometric patterns on the front and sides.
